Crews called to fire involving horse box near Okehampton

Fire crews dealt with a horse box on fire near Okehampton this afternoon. The fire service and police were called to the A386, Sourton at 14:26 today. The Fire Service were called to a report of a vehicle on fire and one local fire appliance was mobilised to the incident. Once in attendance crews found one private vehicle and horse box on fire on the public highway. The firefighters used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel to extinguish the fire. The Police were also in attendance due to the vehicle being in a precarious position on the highway
