Redrow Homes is to open a new Westcountry division based in Exeter as the firm looks to extend its operations in the South West.
Covering Somerset, Devon and Cornwall from new premises on Pynes Hill, the division will launch in July and be headed by newly promoted regional director Keith Miller.
Keith will be joined by an experienced team made up of Redrow employees who have relocated from other parts of the UK along with new recruits.
The new division will employ around 40 office staff from director to apprentice level and create more jobs in the region for subcontractors and suppliers.
Keith, previously commercial director at Redrow's Bristol office, said: "Our success in the South West has led to our expansion and establishment of a Westcountry division, with headquarters in Exeter. We have already established an excellent team of experienced and talented individuals to oversee the land acquisition, technical, commercial and sales departments. I am confident the business can meet its ambitious growth targets."
Current Redrow schemes to be managed by the new Westcountry division include Otter Grange in Ottery St Mary, The Harringtons in Exeter, and The Fairways in Newton Abbot.
Redrow, which is celebrating its 40th year, builds almost 3,000 homes across England and Wales each year and following the opening of the new Westcountry office there will be a total of 11 regional divisions.
