Budleigh Salterton Croquet Club's Harry Dodge has won the Spiers Trophy for a second year in a row. The 17-year-old claimed the Croquet Association's national award after significantly improving both his handicap and personal ranking over a 12-month period. Dodge has only played for three seasons, winning three premier tournaments and improving his ranking from 321 to 35 in the world. Brian Shorney, chairman of the association's handicap committee, said: "The award of the Spiers Trophy to Harry Dodge following his win the previous year is quite exceptional. "We fully expect him to continue to improve, and to achieve success representing his country."
