Tributes have been paid to an Axminster woman who was killed in a collision near the town on Wednesday.
The collision, involving two cars, happened on the B3261 between the A35 and Axminster, at around 7.45am today, Wednesday 19 March. Two air ambulances were called to the scene.
The deceased has been named as Mellissa Williamson, known to her friends as Lisa.
The 45-year-old died when her silver Ford Focus was involved in a collision with a grey Toyota Rav4 on the B3261 on Trafalgar Way near to Bow Bridge.
Another 56-year-old woman from Axminster remains in Frenchay Hospital in Bristol and is in a critical condition
Lisa's husband, Peter Williamson, said: "Lisa was my world and brought nothing but joy into my life, and the lives of those she met.
"She will be sorely missed by all our friends, but doubly so by me, and our dog, Ruby."
Investigating officers are appealing for information regarding the incident.
Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or may have seen the Focus and the Rav4 being driven before the incident is asked to contact the Police on 101, quoting log number 84 of 190314.
