For many of us, Christmas time means having to endure near-freezing temperatures, huddled together with loved ones next to the fire. Whilst this may be as much a part of the experience as Turkey and all the trimmings on Christmas Day, wouldn't it be nice to enjoy the season's festivities in shorts and sandals rather than thick socks and a woolly hat? Here are a few suggestions for sun-seekers looking to enjoy the season of goodwill from a lounger on the beach.Tremendous Turkey
A Turkey holiday can offer a western or eastern cultural Christmas experience, depending on where you decide to visit. If you want sun and warmth then the southern areas of Turkey are your best bet. Along the Mediterranean coast the weather can remain mild throughout December and around Christmas.

Probably the most famous resort on this part of the South East coast is Benidorm. A firm favourite with families looking for a cheap holiday abroad, even in the colder months you will still enjoy temperatures into their teens. With its many British-themed pubs you will be sure of a warm welcome when you arrive and many of the extensive bars and restaurants will be putting on traditional dinners so you won't have to forgo your turkey and all the trimmings on Christmas Day. However if your aim is to avoid all things festive, the quaint old town is packed full of authentic tapas bars, so you can enjoy local delicacies while admiring the stunning views over the water.Glorious Goa
