Fire crews rescued a dog from a tree by a riverbank in Exeter this afternoon.
Fire crews were called to the Canal Banks in Exeter at 16:40 today after the Service Control Room of a dog who had gone over the river bank and trapped on a tree.
On arrival at the scene crews confirmed one dog caught in overhead shubbery and donned lifejackets to assess the scene.
One dog was rescued from the river bank entangled in overgrown bushes using small tools, lifejackets and a short extension ladder.
