It was the greatest win that never was.
Liverpool fans watching the match against Newcastle on Sky Sports were briefly given a rather optimistic score.
The mistake happened around the 65th minute and one fan was able to capture the moment on YouTube.
The viewer said: "It certainly won't have done Liverpool's goal difference any harm in their bid to wrestle the Premier League title away from Manchester City.
"But 12-1 or 2-1 (the actual score as Daniel Sturridge put the Reds in front), it still wouldn't have been enough for Brendan Rodgers' men as City earned a comfortable 2-0 victory over West Ham.
"It would have been a nice way to end the season, though."
