A 27-YEAR-OLD man from Teignmouth is fighting for his life in hospital after a motorbike crash on the A379 near Starcross this morning.
Police were called shortly before 7.45am today (Thursday) after a male motorcyclist was trapped under a red Mitsubishi Shogun.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics after being freed by the fire service, and then taken by air ambulance to Derriford Hospital, Plymouth.
In the latest update on his condition, a spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "The motorcyclist is a 27-year-old Teignmouth man. He was riding a white Hondo 125 motorcycle and has suffered life threatening injuries."
The A379 was been closed at the Powderham turn-off and on the other side of Kenton.
The road reopened at 2pm following an investigation of the scene, recovery of the vehicles and the road being cleared of debris.
