EXETER Chiefs have made seven changes to their starting XV for their LV= Cup match at home to Northampton Saints on Saturday (6.30pm).
A clutch of Chiefs players - Henry Slade, Luke Cowan-Dickie, Joel Conlon, Sam Hill and Jack Arnott - have been called up for England Under-20s' Six Nations clash with Scotland in Plymouth.
That means recalls to the starting line-up for Ignacio Mieres, Jack Yeandle, Mark Foster, and the Connacht-bound Aly Muldowney. Ian Whitten, Alex Brown and James Hanks also start in place of Nic Sestaret, Craig Mitchell and Will Carrick-Smith.
Scrum-half Haydn Thomas is back on the bench after missing a month out with a bang to the head sustained in the 30-19 home reverse to Saints in the Premiership at the start of January - one of two losses to them already this season.
Victory is vital to the Chiefs' hopes if they wish to qualify from Pool One, having relinquished top spot to Harlequins following last week's 16-6 defeat at Bath. You can read live coverage of the game on thisisexeter.co.uk
