A beach hut in Exmouth was damaged today after a car crashed into it following a two vehicle collision on the seafront.
Three fire engines were called to the collision on the Esplanade at 15:15 and found an elderly couple still in a car.
The fire service confirmed that one vehicle had left the scene and that the beach hut was damaged in the incident.
Crews made the vehicle safe and requested the council to make the beach hut safe.
