READING midfielder Lawson D'Ath says he would be open to another loan move to St James's Park should the opportunity arise next season.
D'Ath joined the Grecians in late March scoring on his debut in a 4-1 win against Bradford City.
However, the young midfielder has now returned to Reading and will hope to break into the Royals first team in the Championship next campaign.
If he doesn't though a return to Exeter could be on the cards.
"I've really enjoyed it – I've had a really good time here," said D'Ath. "We'll see what happens pre-season –of course I'll try and push for Reading.
"If not, and I have to go on loan again, I would definitely always give Exeter the chance because it's such a great club with such great people and such great fans. There's nothing I could say higher about it.
"It's an amazing place to be – there's no big-time people, it's just a big family. That's the kind of place you want to be at."
D'Ath was won of seven youngsters who featured against Chesterfield on Saturday despite only having made a handful of professional appearances.
City lost the game 4-0, but D'Ath admits the result was harsh on the Grecians.
"It was one of those games where we played well but the result just didn't go our way," he said. " We just needed to be tighter at the back – not just the back-four, but as a whole team.
"But there's a lot of good young players that have come out of the Academy, and I think Exeter can be very proud of that because it's not easy to bring players through like that. They've done it really well with a group of players, not just one or two."
