Teignmouth coach Simon Morrell has been keeping his fingers crossed all week there are no more injury problems in the front row ahead of their match with Devonport Services.
The Teigns didn't have enough front-row forwards fit and healthy to comply with competition regulations for the Devon Intermediate Cup game at Ivybridge last Saturday so pulled out of the game.
As the Teigns run two Saturday sides and their first XV is challenging for promotion from Western Counties West, one or two eyebrows were raised around Devon by the decision not to go to Ivybridge.
The second XV fulfilled their fixture against Okehampton, losing it 31-12, which begged the question – who propped for them?
"We have six props capable of playing in the first team and only one of them was available," said Morrell.
"Yes there were props in the second XV, but on welfare grounds we felt it wasn't right to put them into the first team.
"There is a massive jump between where our second XV play in Merit Table Two and the top of Western Counties, which is where Ivybridge play." Okehampton return to league action this Saturday when they travel to Kernick Road to face Penryn.
Okes were due to play Bideford in the cup last Saturday but the game was postponed.
