Police in Exeter found more than they bargained for when they visited a house in Exeter – a snake in the toilet.
Officers responded to a call from a member of the public about the snake, which had been spotted in the toilet of a house in the city.
And on closer inspection they found it hiding under the rim.
An officer then removed it to a place of safety.
It is not clear whether the snake belonged to the householder or how it got into the toilet.
And in case anyone didn't believe the slightly unusual find, they tweeted a picture of the snake as evidence.
