South West Trains passengers are being advised that the vast majority of train services are planned to run normally today. However, following the severe weather conditions experienced over the weekend, alternative arrangements or extended journey times will be in place on a small number of specific routes. Passengers are advised to check the latest information before travel.
London Waterloo to Exeter services
A full service is expected to run between London Waterloo and Exeter on Monday 10 February with slightly extended journey times. Some departure times may also vary from the normal timetable and customers are advised to check the timetable at www.southwesttrains.co.uk.
Customers with pre-booked tickets for Sunday 9 February will be able to use their ticket to travel on Monday 10 February for journeys on the West of England line.
Effingham Junction to Leatherhead services
Essential improvement work has been taking place between Effingham Junction and Leatherhead over the weekend. As a result of the extra time needed to carry out the works, services will be diverted during the morning peak. Train services will not be running between Effingham and Leatherhead, however a replacement bus service will be in place.
Effingham Junction and Leatherhead stations will remain open for trains operating on other routes.
Eastleigh to Fareham
As a result of the landslide at Botley, train services will continue to be diverted and will not call at Botley or Hedge End. The extensive repair works needed mean that this line is likely to remain closed until the end of February.
A spokesperson for South West Trains said: "The vast majority of our services are planned to run as normal on Monday 10 February, however we'd advise passengers to check the latest information before they travel and be prepared that some journeys may take a little longer than normal."
